It Came From eBay Hell: The Geo Storm Pickup You Never Knew You Wanted
0 comments Posted by alice at 10:41 AMFew names in automotive history make the average car enthusiast’s skin crawl like, “Geo”. Geo was General Motors response to the growing number of Japanese and South Korean imports that had invaded the U.S. market. Essentially taking the most boring and insipid models from Suzuki, Toyota and Isuzu and building them stateside, Geo embodied the whole, “Who Gives A...” attitude that has made GM so

Toyota Motor together with tuning studio Gazoo Racing transformed a midget car Toyota iQ into the real race car.
Toyota GRMN iQ Racing Concept not only threateningly looks thanks to the developed aerodynamic body-kit, 17-inch wheels and an aggressive 3-coloured colouring, but also is really ready to extreme driving. The 4-cylinder motor develops 116HP!
The interior of Toyota iQ Racing Concept also looks as race bolide: here there are sports seats with 4-dot belts, a framework of safety and sports accessories, aluminium pedals and so forth.

The Tokyo Auto Show present to the World Community a set of car surprises. For example, this exotic Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. It's necessary to notice that car is tuned so, what to define, what motor-car manufacturer presented one of the brightest cars of autoshow — is actually unreal. The cowl form gives to the car similarity as at Nissan 350Z, the back part casts thoughts on Infiniti G35 Coupe.
Japanese Tuning Releases
The car body is coloured into golden colour (by Paint Star), besides it, on exterior of a car has been used a aerography sketch that gave to the car very bright and unique kind. The car ground clearance has been reduced at the expense of use of low bumpers. In addition to everything, the magnificent interior fitted by a white skin — gives to the car true uniqueness.

TRD (Toyota Racing Department) especially for the Tokyo Auto Salon finished special version of Lexus IS-F. The car which has received a tuning package, has been named as IS-F Club Performance Accessory. Tuning a Car certainly underwent the most courageous innovations.

Brabus Presents the World’s First Euro 6 Compliant Performance Kit for Diesel Models
0 comments Posted by alice at 10:40 AM
Mercedes-Benz tuning specialist Brabus has presented a new ECO PowerXtra D6S performance kit for the S350 BlueTec, and by doing so, the company claims to have created the world’s first tuned diesel-powered car that meets the Euro 6 emissions standard, scheduled to go into effect in 2014. Available for both rear-while drive and 4MATIC four-wheel drive variants, the kit delivers an additional 55HP and 70 Nm (52 lb-ft) of torque, for a total of 313HP and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft).
Designed to work like a plug-and-play device, the module increases the 3.0-liter V6 diesel’s output depending on the selected shift mode of the 7G-Tronic Plus automatic transmission. In “Eco” mode, peak torque increases, but the engine output remains unchanged (258HP), while in “Manual” or “Sport” mode maximum power is also boosted.
The modified S350 sprints from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a very respectable 6.5 seconds and can reach an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
The Brabus ECO PowerXtra D6S unit can be also fitted to all Mercedes E350 CDI BlueEfficiency variants as well as the CLS 350 CDI BlueEfficiency model, delivering identical output.
All models come with a three-year or 100,000 km (62,000 miles) warranty and can be specified with a custom Brabus stainless-steel exhaust with 4 tailpipes, delivering a more distinctive exhaust note and further optimizing power yield.

In October of 2010 we brought you a Toyota Soarer / Lexus SC that had been transformed into an abomination with a Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM front end and a Nissan 200SX rump. It was bad, but I still liked it better than the snooze-mobile that was the ‘91 Soarer / CS.
Well, from the same website that brought us that automotive mullet comes yet another creation that’s been refashioned into something else. This time its a Nissan Silva. This particular freak of coach building features a Mercedes-Benz rear end (or at very least the taillights) and Nissan 350Z front end. The result is less than impressive.
I don’t know what’s worse – the matte white that makes the car look like it’s still in primer or the cacophony of weird vents jutting out of the plastic snap-on bodywork. Despite the owner’s best efforts, the rear bumper clearly doesn’t fit, jutting out beyond the rear wheels and necessitating the addition of those awful rear bulges. Mitsuoka could do better with a Nissan Micra and papier-mâché.
Though don’t take my word for it. Study the pictures and deliver your verdict in the comments section below.

AC Schnitzer Offers First Batch of Goodies for MINI Countryman
0 comments Posted by alice at 5:11 PM
German tuner AC Schnitzer has launched its first tuning package for the MINI Countryman . The focus is clearly on the wheels, as clients can choose between four different designs in two different sizes (18- or 19-inch) to go with the two-tone white and black exterior paint job. In fact, AC Schnitzer has just broken a personal record: in a company first, it has fitted a MINI with 19-inch rims. As for the interior, the tuning house offers an aluminum pedal set and gear knob or various knobs clad in leather with incorporated, digital gear display unit.
